In the north-west of Germany's neighboring country, not far from the city of Rennes, brutal scenes took place in traffic on Saturday evening.

While his son was in the back seat, the father (29) at the wheel of an Opel noticed that he was being followed by another vehicle with masked occupants, as the newspaper"Le Parisien" reported on Sunday.

According to the police, the 29-year-old was about to drive his boy to his mother.

The pursuers rammed the Opel several times. Suddenly shots rang out from the car and hit the father's car.

Two bullets hit the head of the five-year-old in the back seat. The child was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His life has been in danger ever since. The driver was unharmed and escaped with a shock.

The shooting in the street is possibly connected to the drug scene, it is further reported. According to "Le Parisien", the father of the child who was shot is already known to the police for drug dealing.
